We’ve known this for 11 years since he was drafted No. 3 overall coming out of Pittsburgh. Still, at 31-years-old, Fitzgerald shows no signs of slowing down. And when he gets hit by Pro-Bowl 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis, he doesn’t show signs of going down.
That might make the highlights reel for some players, but it doesn’t begin to crack Fitzgerald’s montage. Still, it’s quite impressive when Fitzgerald (6-foot-3, 218 pounds) turns after catching the pass and gets hit by Willis (6-foot-1, 240 pounds) and just bounces off him.
The Cardinals are up 20-14 with four minutes left to play. Fitzgerald has three catches for 24 yards. He fumbled earlier in the game after making a catch, so sometimes it might be better for him to just go down. The Cardinals are working on a comeback after being down 14-6 at halftime. They have scored 14 unanswered points, both touchdowns to other receiver John Brown.
