Miami Heat found best LeBron James replacement?

If you were asked to name the teams who had the best NBA offseason, you’d probably come up with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks and/or Chicago Bulls.

One team you wouldn’t expect to be near the top of the list would be the Miami Heat, right? Well, not according to Ira Winderman who suggests the Miami Heat had a very good offseason, despite losing LeBron James to the previously mentioned Cavaliers.
While Winderman hints that some of the moves were underwhelming, the fact that the Miami Heat were able to re-sign Chris Bosh and bring in Luol Deng should keep them active in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Given that, the Miami Heat ended up having a very solid offseason.
"If it was just Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger, I could appreciate if there was overwhelming post-LeBron disappointment. But among all of this summer’s free agents, outside of Carmelo Anthony, I don’t think the Heat could have gotten a better replacement player for LeBron than Deng."
While Deng may have been the second best player on the market to replace LeBron James, that seems to be more of an indication of those available in free agency, which wasn’t exactly littered with talent at the small forward position.
Luol Deng is a very solid player, though, replacing what the Miami Heat lost seems impossible.
