St. Louis Rams: Jared Cook blames himself for loss
By Wes Goldberg
It was a frustrating outing for the St. Louis Rams Sunday. After being up 21-0, the Dallas Cowboys rallied to win 34-31 in comeback fashion. Early in the fourth quarter, Rams tight end Jared Cook had what should have been an easy touchdown catch slip through his hands, leaving the Rams to settle for a field goal. The Rams led 24-20, instead of 28-20.

Cook’s frustration with himself boiled over on the sidelines when he shoved quarterback Austin Davis, who had come over to help him settle down after the drop. That led teammates to yell at Cook and try to calm him down.
After the game, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Cook said he made up with Davis and took the blame for the drop and altercation.
"“I was heated, like anybody else,” Cook said. “I feel like I let this game slip through my hands, and that’s my fault as a man.”"
Davis had a solid outing, going 30-of-42 for 327 yards, thee touchdowns and two interceptions. He also didn’t back down from Cook when he was shoved. That counts for something. Cook ended up as the team’s leading receiver, catching seven balls for 75 yards, but it could have been eight catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. Oh, and probably a win.
