In fact, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman believes the contract Bledsoe gets will directly impact Jackson.
"Meanwhile, the Timberwolves are prepared to pay Bledsoe $63 million over four years, according to ESPN.com, but because of salary cap restrictions can only land Bledsoe in a sign-and-trade with Phoenix. The Suns reportedly have no interest in such a deal.No matter how it plays out, the Wolves just armed Jackson and his representation with more information about the type of money available to big, explosive young point guards on the open market."
If Jackson continues to develop, he could command that type of salary even if Bledsoe winds up signing for less money.
