Indiana Pacers’ George Hill must step up
Although the dysfunction surrounding the team and the poor play of center Roy Hibbert took the bulk of the blame, the inconsistent play of point guard George Hill was a big reason the Indiana Pacers struggled down the stretch last season.

Joel Brigham o Basketball Insiders believes Hill must “rise to the challenge.”
"As the point guard and one of the team’s best scorers, George Hill will be the player expected to make things happen offensively for this team. While West is likely to be the team’s top scorer, nothing will get done offensively here if Hill doesn’t find ways to attack the basket and hit open three-pointers. If ever there was a year where George would be asked to rise to the challenge, this would be the one."
Hill has been a solid player in the past and is obviously looking to have a bounce-back season.
Hill averaged 10.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 44.2% from the field, 36.5% from beyond the arc and 80.7% from the free throw line last season. In his six-year NBA career, the former IUPUI Jaguar and 26th-overall selection in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft (San Antonio Spurs) has gone for 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 44.8% from the floor, 37.1% from three and 80.8% from the charity stripe.
