Jeff Green: Celtics will win no matter what it takes
By Josh Hill
In the Eastern Conference, you do not need to be a good team to win your way into the playoffs — because in most years just lucking your way into the postseason is good enough.

One player who is increasingly excited about this upcoming season for Boston is Jeff Green. Not only has he been working hard int he gym this summer to get even better, but he has a grand vision for the team that he wants to very much be a part of in the long run.
According to The Boston Globe, Green is entering the season with a new attitude on the Celtics and believes that he’s on a team that will win at all costs.
"“I think it’s a new confidence that I have as far as my game and I think that just comes with a different approach,” Green said. “I’m very excited. We have a young team but I think we have a team that’s willing to do whatever it takes to win. A lot of people don’t have us in the playoffs but our goal is to get better each game and just try to improve to put ourselves in a great position to be in the playoffs.”"
That’s the sort of confidence that the Celtics need and it’s a bonus that the confidence is coming from a veteran leader like Green. Boston is a young team with little leadership to be had. That’s why while Green isn’t an elite player yet, he’s invaluable to the Celtics for his status as a veteran and as a leader of the team.
