One player who is particularly excited for the future is Jeff Green, as he’s been working to improve his game over the summer in anticipation of the big things to follow.

According to The Boston Globe, Green hasn’t just worked on a few aspects of his game this summer, he’s worked on everything in an attempt to be as solid as he can be for Boston this year.

"“I’ve been working on everything basically. There’s not one thing I didn’t work on. Just coming into camp in good shape, new focus, and a lot of people say it’s a different vibe they feel from me now and I just have to transfer it on the court, continue to get better as a player, and find a way to stay consistent. I think that’s been my biggest fall throughout my career, so I’ve just got to find a way to do that.”"

Green may end up being a major cog in the Celtics plans, as without Rajon Rondo on the team — should be be traded — Green would become the biggest veteran on the roster.

It’s that potential for being in a leadership role that likely has Green motivated to come out hard and show his game off. That and he likely wants a nice contract in the future and has plans of playing his way into it.
