Houston Rockets may fire Kevin McHale midseason
By Josh Hill
The Houston Rockets are a team that needs to start figuring things out sooner rather than later as their window for a championship is already closing. That has a lot to do with postseason play but the blame is falling on head coach Kevin McHale.

According to Steve Kyler from Basketball Insiders, of all the coaches on the hot sea this year, McHale could be the first to go and could be fired as early as mid-season.
"If the Rockets cannot get back to at least where they were a season ago McHale’s future becomes cloudy at best. If the Rockets fall backwards or struggle early McHale could be the coach most likely to be fired mid-season. The problem with expectations is that when you don’t meet them, someone pays the price."
There were doubts that McHale would be back this season but the Rockets elected to keep him on staff this summer. That could all change though as two straight first-round exits with a team that is better than that is causing lots of frustration in Houston.
