Jason Peters on ejection: I’d do it again
By Cory Buck
Jason Peters accepted the consequences of his actions in Week 3 that led to his ejection. He even expects more punishment to come. But don’t ask him to say sorry or that he’d do things differently. If he had to go back to that moment when his quarterback was unnecessarily slammed to the ground, he’d charge the guy who did it all over again.

When Peters was told that Chris Baker, the Washington player who flattened Nick Foles after a Foles interception, would do the same thing again if given a chance, Peters acknowledged nothing would change on his end.
“He’s going to get the same result,” Peters said, per ESPN. “I’d do the same thing if it happened again. The guy cheap-shotted my quarterback. And I’m going to protect him.”
We must be getting close to hockey season if guys are starting fights after big hits are laid out on the field of play. Philly fans of course must love this stuff, and it’s hard for anyone not to. As much as we don’t want to see football players swinging punches and going wild on the field, it’s hard not to commend a guy for standing up for a teammate.
“Our team is tight-knit,” Peters said. “A guy trying to get a hit on the smallest guy out there — Nick isn’t too small, but that’s unfair. I just took it upon me to go after the guy. They put that rule in. Foles wasn’t trying to make the play. He was just going toward the sideline in a light trot and he blindsided him.”
For his part in the role, Peters does expect more punishment to come beyond his ejection. “I definitely got a fine coming,” Peters concluded.
