After the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday, veteran running back Frank Gore was too upset to talk to the media.
"Running back Frank Gore went to the sideline whenever the 49ers were in their five-receiver sets. He carried just once in the second half and finished with six rushes for 10 yards. Hyde had three carries for 13 yards.Gore was too upset to speak afterward.“I can’t talk right now,” he said after a minute of questions. “I’m sorry. I can’t talk.”"
Many was assumed it was because of his decreased role in the loss, getting just six carries in the game and only one in the second half. Gore has now set out to clarify those reports, saying that it was the loss that upset him and not the carries.
“For me, I feel whatever works, I’m with it,” Gore said, via CSNBayArea.com. “If it’s passing, it’s passing. If it’s running, then we’re running. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win. If we got to go out there and do the spread again, I’m with it. That’s what type of player I am. I just want to win. I was frustrated. If we’d gotten the win, I’m happy. I’m happy.”
