Chicago Bulls Rumors: Will Aaron Brooks have a big season?
By Josh Hill
The Chicago Bulls are looking at the 2014-15 season with a lot of hope as Derrick Rose figures to be healthy the whole season and the team is gunning for an NBA title like never before. Pau Gasol is in town, Nikola Mirotic is finally on the team and rose is leading it all.

But Aaron Brooks was a sneaky signing by the Bulls and he could factor into things in a big way this upcoming season.
NBA scribe Chuck Myron opines, he Chicago Bulls may have a star in Aaron Brooks, as he could fit a role that D.J. Augustin filled last year where he blew up and got himself paid this summer.
"Brooks could be a D.J. Augustin-type player if need be. I’ve always been high on him, and I think he could thrive if given the chance. You can’t sign a star as a backup in case another star gets hurt; you’ve just got to hope you can stay healthy."
There is a major difference here though as Augustin thrived in Chicago because Derrick Rose was out — which hopefully won’t be the case again this year. Still, Brooks can fill a shooting guard role and run alongside Rose this season which may have a similar if not better effect as replacing him in the lineup.
