What did Bill Simmons say to get suspended by ESPN? (Audio)
By Josh Hill
Bill Simmons can’t seem to stay out of hot water with ESPN and that’s partly why so many people tolerate him despite all other things he does. He’s a company man, but one that looks out for his own interests as well, which leads to a lot of people get rubbed the wrong way whenever Simmons has a moment clarity.

He got skewered by ESPN for roasting First Take not that long ago but his most recent suspension has come after he blasted a partner of the mothership. Simmons drew a three week suspension for blasting Roger Goodell in a profanity-laced rant about Roger Goodell.
ESPN has taken down the podcast that Simmons got suspended over, but the meat of what he said is still available anyways.
Simmons is intolerable at times, but when he spits truth he does in a way that strikes a chord with the average fan. This is another case of that, although his suspension has less to do with his trashing of Goodell and more to do with his daring ESPN to suspend him.
