Carson Palmer has been out of action for the Arizona Cardinals the last two weeks, but there is some growing optimism about the condition of his shoulder.

More from Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have a Week 4 bye week, so Palmer will have more time to get his shoulder to 100 percent.

As far as the quarterback is concerned, he will be back out on the field in Week 5 when the Cardinals put their undefeated record on the line against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

“I’m fired up to be 3-0. I’ll definitely be ready against Denver,” Palmer said, via ESPN’s Ed Werder. “It’s super important to get 100 percent before we start preparing for Week 5. I’m fired up to be healthy and can’t wait.”

Palmer’s shoulder is feeling “much, much better” which is great news for the Cardinals as they prepare for their biggest game of the first quarter of the season.

Arizona is one of just three unbeaten teams in the NFL after three weeks — along with the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals — but they still do not seem to be getting the respect that they deserve as a legitimate threat in the NFC.

If the Cardinals are able to get by the Broncos in Week 5, all of that will change.
