According to Michael Rothstein of ESPN, the Lions will be working out Pat Angerer to try and fill the void left by Tulloch.
"A day after the Detroit Lions lost starting middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch for the season, the team brought in a familiar face for the team’s coaching staff to workout: Pat Angerer. Angerer played four seasons with the Colts after being drafted in the second round out of Iowa — including the first two years of his career under current Lions coach Jim Caldwell. In his career, he has 312 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions."
Angerer has had flashes in his past, but the Indianapolis Colts eventually dumped him after his concussions became a problem. Detroit may not end up signing Angerer but the relationship between the linebacker and Jim Caldwell might be something that gets him a job to try and prove himself once and for all.
