After narrowly avoiding disaster in week two, defeating McNeese State 31-24 on Ameer Abdullah’s beautiful catch and run with under a minute to go, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have looked much better.

More from College Football

They have since defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs 55-19 and the Miami Hurricanes 41-31 to improve to 4-0.

On Saturday night, they’ll welcome the Illinois Fighting Illini to town. The Illini have been anything but impressive despite their 3-1 record. They have only defeated Youngstown State (28-17), Western Kentucky (28-17) and Texas State (42-35). In their only real challenge, their battle with the Washington Huskies two weeks ago, they were destroyed 44-19.

If the Illini want to have any chance at victory, they will need a big game from quarterback Wes Lunt (100-0f-152 for 1,237 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions) since they havn. Their defense will have to be much better as well – they are giving up 32.5

Nebraska is a 22-point favorite and the over/under is 65.5
