Have you been to a local sporting goods store recently and checked out the prices of NFL jerseys? Pretty absurd, right?

More from Houston Texans

Throwing down that type of coin for nothing more than a specialized shirt is tough, especially when the name on the back of the jersey is likely to change in a few years (if not sooner). Understanding that, it appears a Houston Texans fan decided to get creative (or cheap, you pick) and take a plain white t-shirt (it looks pretty thin so I’m guessing it’s out of the dollar bin) and a black marker to create his own JJ Watt jersey.

My favorite part might be drawing the ‘stitching’ around the nameplate as if that gives it the authentic feel or something.

I have to admit it’s a pretty smooth idea if you don’t have the funds to pick up a jersey of your favorite player, though next time the fan may be better served if he actually wrote Watt’s number and name straight.

Dude did go all out though. In addition to the previously mentioned ‘stitching’ the shirt arms even have Watt’s number and it looks like he even attempted to draw a similar font as used by the Houston Texans. It didn’t work out (as you can see from the Arian Foster jersey atop the picture) but he certainly gets some praise for trying.

Kid is certainly getting ready to ‘Turn Down For Watt’ and proudly represent his Houston Texans.
