While many don’t expect Kobe Bryant to be the scoring machine that he once was this season, that doesn’t mean the Black Mamba won’t be as good as he once was.

In fact, it’s very possible Kobe Bryant might be an even more efficient player for the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
Over the past few seasons we’ve seen Bryant attempt to handle the load for a rather poor roster. He still put up impressive numbers though his assists were down and his shooting percentage likely could have been higher had he been surrounded by better talent. Now that he has Jeremy Lin, Carlos Boozer and Julius Randle as his disposal Jabari Davis believes Kobe could be a better all-around player for the Los Angeles Lakers.
"I think we’ll see Kobe’s numbers simply shift. While I don’t see him as quite the guy you’ll see scoring in the high 20’s on a nightly basis, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him find a way to become a more efficient player as well as figure out additional ways to impact the game. That could lead to an assist or two more, or maybe a rebound and a half."
While Kobe Bryant’s minutes per game might go down slightly as the Los Angeles Lakers attempt to keep him healthy, he now has a cast of veteran talent who’ll help burden some of the responsibilities he’s dealt with in the recent past.
