Although LeBron James has always been a leader on the court thanks to his level of play, the Akron native has sometimes let veteran talent on the roster lead from a verbal standpoint.

That seemed to change in the past year or so and it’s something James is ready to bring with him upon his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Speaking to Ken Berger, LeBron James says he’s ready to take on a much needed leadership role for the Cavs.
“I take full responsibility for being the leader of the team,” James said. “We have guys that lead as well in their own facets, in their own ways. But I don’t mind taking full responsibility for the leadership role of this team. That’s going to be important.”
While both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are on the roster, it’s clear that LeBron James is the Cleveland Cavaliers. Before with the Miami Heat, while James was the best three out of he, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade it always seemed to be more of a three-headed monster. That doesn’t appear to be the case with the Cleveland Cavaliers as it appears evident the Cavs are now his team and his team alone while players like Love and Irving compliment his talents.
James and the Cavs opened their training camp this weekend and will fly to Brazil in two weeks to take on the aforementioned Miami Heat.
