In fact, the All-Star forward feels that the New York Knicks will have a much better season this year.
Anthony didn’t go on to elaborate as to why he feels the New York Knicks will be a better squad this season though with Derek Fisher now coaching the team and with a triangle offense installed, things are certainly changing in the Big Apple.

In addition to Carmelo suggesting the Knicks will be better, that was a pretty nice subtle shot at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It’s been suggested that the New York Knicks will essentially be in somewhat of a ‘rebuild’ this season as they wait for the salary of Amare Stoudemire to come off the books, though it’s possible the team could attempt to trade him to expedite the process. That may prove to be a challenge however and it’s not known if the Knicks really want to eat up any available cap space given the impressive free agent market in both 2015 and 2016.
