Denver Nuggets Rumors: Kenneth Faried will have to wait for max deal?

The Denver Nuggets weren’t a good basketball team last year but the future appears to be bright. One of the brightest stars not only on the Nuggets roster but in the NBA as a whole is forward/center Kenneth Faried, and it’s come time to pay the man this year.

What Denver needs to decide though is if they’re going to pay Faried like they want or like the star he is — as those price are very different. The Nuggets will want to secure the lowest deal possible for Faried while the Team USA star will want a fat deal.

Actually, a max deal to be exact.

Faried is the type of player that may be better off waiting until next season when the salary cap increases to get his extension. He’s been looking to get a fat contract from the Nuggets for a while and is playing his way into one already this season after his work with Team USA at the World Cup.

Of course, a lot of things can happen to derail his hopes for a max deal, but it’s looking like someone will be giving it to him even if it’s no the Nuggets.
