Houston Rockets GM takes shot at Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban
By Bryan Rose
While there are some rather historic rivalries in the NBA (Lakers vs Celtics, etc) there aren’t many current feuds. The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets are doing what they can to change that though as the two franchises have went back and forth with insults all offseason.

It doesn’t appear as if either wide is going to take the high road either as Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey decided to take a shot at the Dallas Mavericks and owner Mark Cuban in a recent interview with Yahoo Sports.
Suggesting everything to be equal, Morey hinted the Houston Rockets are the preferred destination between the two, a not-so-subtle jab over the Dwight Howard situation.
“But let’s be clear: If the money’s equal between the Rockets and Mavericks, I think players are picking Houston. Every time. For Dwight [Howard], I just don’t think it was a hard choice between us and Dallas. If you want to win, you’re going to want to join our organization. We have a first-team All-NBA player in his prime [James Harden]. They have an enormously talented superstar [Dirk Nowitzki] but he obviously isn’t 24 years old.”
The Dallas Mavericks of course courted Dwight Howard though lost out in bidding to the Houston Rockets.
Morey wasn’t done though, taking a swipe at Mark Cuban’s recent ‘chemistry’ comment.
“Our teams have had great chemistry, and it’s something we believe in. Hey, if Mark believed so much in chemistry, he wouldn’t have busted up a title team for cap room.”
Shots fired. Should be some explosive fireworks when the two get together this season.
