The Denver Nuggets have one of the fastest rising forwards in the game with Kenneth Faried, but the team needs to now pay up if they want to keep his services around beyond this season.

It’s come time for the Nuggets to decide on an extension for Faried, and it’s a talking point that has a lot of people buzzing in Denver. While the Nuggets would like to lock Faried down in a long term deal, they will want tog et the best deal possible.
On the other side of things, Faried wants a max deal, and Steve Kyler from Basetkball Insiders sees no reason why the forward should take less than Derrick Favors money if offered.
.@Jerry_Rooster: But would he take 'Favors" like money - 12/13 per? ---> Hard to say. He wants MAX money, may have to wait to get it.

.@Jerry_Rooster: ---> There really is no reason to take less... we could have a $70 million cap next year and 12-15 teams with cap cash

Faried is one of the best young stars in the game and if his hits the market, a max deal is what he will be offered. It’s basically just a matter of the Nuggets waiting to see if his value dips or not before offering him in inevitable max deal.
