Kenneth Faried is about to get paid big by the Denver Nuggets, but his idea of a new deal and the one that Denver likely has are very different.

This season will be a big one for the Nuggets star, as he’s playing towards a new deal and will be trying to show off to someone that he’s worth a max contract. He’d be wise to accept or ask for no less than Derrick Favors money, but thinking too much about his new deal may cloud his vision.
This is something that held Faried back in the past but it’s something he may try to get beyond in the future. He’s on the cusp of a massive new contract but the question remains just how much he’s going to make. He’s going to get a fat new deal — unless something unforeseen happens — just as long as he keeps his focus and doesn’t get too far off track counting dollar signs in his head.
