Jarius Wright-WR-Minnesota Vikings (0.2%)

An out-of-the-blue addition to our week 5 pickups, Wright showed an amazing connection with rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater.  After drawing just six targets all season and none in the Vikings week three loss in New Orleans, Wright led the team with ten passes thrown his way.  He hauled in eight of them for 132 yards including a big 52-yard gainer.

The Falcons secondary hasn’t been great especially on the road, but it’s clear the Wright and Bridgewater have a rapport established during their time with the second unit.  Wright has flashed big-play potential in the past, but he hasn’t received any kind of consistent QB play in his time with the Vikings.  If Bridgwater is the answer for the Vikings expect him to drag Wright’s fantasy stock with him.

Wright and the Vikings are on a short turnaround this week before playing the Packers on Thursday Night Football.  Teddy Bridgewater’s status is in doubt after an ankle sprain late in the Vikings win last week, but there is hope that he’ll be able to play after X-Rays were negative and an MRI came back “clean.” Wright is still a flier, but he’s one with upside if Bridgewater plays.  If you need a WR roll of the dice, Wright has upside to keep an eye on.
