Harbaugh t-shirt made by Michigan based company (Photo)
Michigan fans have made one thing clear: They want head football coach Brady Hoke fired. Hoke was brought in in 2011, took the 11-2 Michigan team to the Sugar Bowl and won, but since then it’s been a disaster. Now, Michigan fans want a Harbaugh at head coach, which one? We’re not too sure.
Michigan based clothing company Alternative designed a Michigan logo themed “Harbaugh” t-shirt. Replacing the Michigan M with an H and spelling Harbaugh across the front, the shirt is clearly to drum up support for the Wolverines to go for Jim or John Harbaugh, both of whom Michigan has expressed interest in, according to speculation.

In 2014, Hoke and the Michigan Wolverines are an embarrassing 2-3 through five games. They’ve taken huge losses to Notre Dame (35-0), Utah (26-10) and Minnesota (30-14). Hoke has come over even more fire, as has the whole program, as it was learned that Hoke played quarterback Shane Morris in the fourth quarter of the game against Minnesota when he had a mild concussion. Hoke said he didn’t know, and Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said it was a “miscommunication.”
The Harbaugh brothers, both coaching in the NFL, grew up in Ann Arbor as their father was an assistant coach for the Michigan football team.
After a dismal 2010 season and the firing of Rich Rodriguez, the Wolverines made a huge push to get former Michigan quarterback and Stanford head coach Jim to lead their team, but he was swooped away by the San Fransisco 49ers. Now, Harbaugh is dealing with controversy that players want him out of San Fransisco after a bad start to the season and not being on the same page. Harbaugh has dismissed these rumors, but if they’re true, you may seem him leaving San Fransisco.
John Harbaugh may also be of interest to the Wolverines. He grew up in Ann Arbor and may be willing to coach one of college football’s best programs of all time. Harbaugh has dismissed any rumors of interest in the job, saying he’s staying in Baltimore, but who knows how he’ll feel at the end of the year. With all the drama still swarming around Baltimore after the Ray Rice incident, he may want out.
Regardless, it’ll be tough for Michigan to get either Harbaugh to leave the NFL and go to college football. But, Michigan’s big budget, and of course the specially designed t-shirts, could help.
