While many would have assumed the Chicago Bulls were the team who would have emerged as the Cleveland Cavaliers biggest rival, the Washington Wizards have decided to take that honor – at least for a moment – as the two exchanged insults on Tuesday.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

On Monday afternoon, Wizards guard Bradley Beal suggested he and teammate John Wall make up the best bestcourt duo in the NBA. It was likely a bit presumptuous though not completely over the top. Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers disagreed though suggesting Beal’s sentiment was ‘nonsense’.

Beef over? Nah, more like just marinating as now John Wall has fired back at Waiters, suggesting bench players like Waiters need to learn their role.

That’s likely to twist the knife in Dion Waiters a bit as the former Syracuse star has previously been said to be unhappy coming off the Cleveland Cavaliers’ bench (though he very well could start this season).

You have to expect the war of words isn’t going to stop here as the two continue to exchange insults.

Just when you thought the rivalry between the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks was getting good, here come the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers.
