Ohio State fan who got slammed to turf by coach loses scholarship

This past Saturday the Ohio State Buckeyes improved their record to 3-1 on the season with a huge 50-28 win over a good Cincinnati Bearcats team. However, for as many good plays as the Buckeyes made in that game, most people will remember something from that contest that affected the scoreboard in no way whatsoever.

At one point during the game, an Ohio State student ran onto the field in a drunken stupor. Well, instead of stadium security getting a hold of him, it was former Ohio State linebacker and current strength coach Anthony Schlegel who got first crack.

And if you don’t remember or have not seen the moment, it was hilarious and you should definitely watch it. Heck, even if you have seen it 100 times already since Saturday, watch it again.

However, what’s not funny is the fact that the student, 21-year-old Anthony Wunder, lost his scholarship from the school because of his moment of sheer stupidity.

According to the Associated Press, Wunder’s lawyer has confirmed that the school has begun removing his client from the Evans Scholars Program in Columbus, which covers  tuition and housing for former golf caddies.

Because of what he did, Wunder has been charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing.

The moral of the entire story here is, if you’re a college student, don’t run on the field, no matter how drunk you are. If you do, then you’re going to be in trouble with the law, have to pay your own way for schooling and get beat up by a former collegiate gridiron legend.

Yes, that’s the definition of, “NOT WORTH IT!”
