If you were to asked to name the team most likely to be the Cleveland Cavaliers’ biggest rival this season there’s a good chance you’d select the Chicago Bulls given their talent and divisional ties.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

However the Washington Wizards have seemingly leapfrogged the Bulls as they and the Cavs have exchanged a war of words over the past few days which started with Bradley Beal of the Wizards proclaiming Washington as the best backcourt in the league.

That didn’t sit well with Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers who fired back.

The two continued their verbal spat with Beal suggesting he’s not worried about the Cavs.

“But that’s just me being who I am and having confidence in me and John. I’m not worried about those guys or what they’re doing over there. I’m just trying to control what we can control, and trying to get wins.”

Bradley Beal continued on about Dion Waiters.

“I mean, some guys just get to talking,” Beal said. “And that’s all he’s doing right now. But what we’re going to do, we’re just going to prove it. And November 21, they come here, so we’ll just duke it out then.”

The Washington Wizards guard appeared to be having fun with the notion, suggesting the rivalry with the Cavs was close to WWE style though quickly changed his tune when speaking directly about Waiters and became much more serious.
