Clippers’ Jamal Crawford played pickup game before his wedding
By Sam Richmond
To become a professional athlete, one has to truly dedicate themselves to their craft. Well, Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford is so dedicated to hoops that he actually played a pickup game with his teammates prior to his wedding this August.
From the Los Angeles Times:
"“Jamal is probably the only person in the world that had a pickup game the night before his wedding at midnight,” Matt Barnes said during Clippers’ media day Monday. “He had us all come out to a gym that was packed — 3,000 people there. We finished the game at like 3 in the morning and didn’t sleep.”"
Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, Matt Barnes, J.J. Redick attended Crawford’s wedding. Here’s hoping that all of them participated in the pre-wedding game.

This is fantastic story, but it really shouldn’t be all that surprising given just how much Crawford loves the game. He also told the Times that he would watch random pickup games at a Los Angeles gym during the offseason.
Crawford averaged 18.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game this past season with the Clippers. Crawford has played with six teams during his 14-year career.
