After a Week 1 disaster against the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys have played relatively well, much of that due to the strong play from running back DeMarco Murray.

Not only is Murray on pace to have a historic season but he’s also outworking every other running back in the league and doing so by a significant amount. Through four weeks, DeMarco Murray has a total of 99 carries which is 18 more than anybody else in the NFL.
Cause for concern? Not according to Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Scott Linehan who says it’s too early to be concerned with Murray’s usage.
Scott Linehan on DeMarco Murray's workload: "It's too early to be thinking about pitch counts." Says it's hard to take Murray out of games.

While the most carries in the league aren’t likely to make a major impact through four weeks, if the trend is to continue you have to think there might be some concern as DeMarco Murray is on pace for some absurd numbers (both good and bad). Entrusting Tony Romo’s arm may not be the most beneficial thing for the Dallas Cowboys moving forward though it would seem smart to reduce DeMarco Murray’s workload in the near future before he’s run into the ground.
Last thing the Dallas Cowboys need is an exhausted or potentially injured Murray come the latter part of the season.
