Dallas Mavericks told no travel to Africa over Ebola fears
By Bryan Rose
As a professional athlete you spend a good portion of your down time visiting sick and/or underprivileged children. The Dallas Mavericks are no different as they routinely visit local hospitals in Dallas (and surrounding areas) bringing joy to those in need of a smile.

Sometimes players can take the visits upon themselves as well, not only in the States but to less fortunate countries as well. Knowing that, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban reportedly told his players not to travel to Africa for the time being due to the Ebola outbreak, this according to TMZ. The news/entertainment site also suggested that Cuban told his players not to visit the paitent in the Dallas area currently being treated for Ebola.
"Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban tells TMZ Sports … he’s not worried about the Ebola scare in Texas … but he’s instructed his players to NOT travel to Africa for the time being.Cuban also says he’s instructed his players — who habitually visit sick people in local hospitals — to not make an in-person visit with the Ebola patient who’s being treated in Dallas … for obvious reasons."
It may sound a little silly that Mark Cuban even had to tell his players such and they likely didn’t need to be made aware of the travel restrictions, though there’s nothing wrong with being preventive on the part of the Dallas Mavericks.
Bet you weren’t expecting the Ebola ‘outbreak’ to morph itself into your sports news, huh?
