Jeremy Lin, Kobe Bryant won’t have problem sharing ball

After Jeremy Lin was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers during the past offseason, the point guard suggested he wanted to be a bigger part of the offense than he was with the Houston Rockets.

That figures to be the case considering Lin, outside of Kobe Bryant and perhaps Nick Young, may be the best scorer on the team. Might that create a bit of a problem though considering both Jeremy Lin and Kobe Bryant will have the ball in their hands often?

Not according to Lin who says he and Kobe won’t have a problem sharing the ball.

"Lin was also asked whether he and Kobe have talked about “ball sharing.” Lin said that he will respect Kobe and that it’s not healthy for him to want the ball all the time."

It’s not exactly clear who Lin was referring to in regards to ‘wanting the ball all the time’ though one would assume he was speaking about himself as he probably doesn’t want to ruffle Bryant’s feathers by suggesting he’s a ballhog.

Jeremy Lin should see his number called far more often in the Los Angeles Lakers’ system thanks to their influx of big men who can hit from outside, a benefit to Lin’s skills on the pick-and-roll. That said, there should be plenty of opportunities for he and Kobe Bryant to be focal points in the offense.
