The Tennessee Titans were without quarterback Jake Locker last weekend and the offense struggled. Charlie Whitehurst was 12-of-23 filling in and threw an interception before being replaced by Zach Mettenberger.

Locker sat out Week 4 with a wrist injury, but it looks like he is going to start according to comments made by Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt on Thursday.

Of course the Titans could just be getting increasingly desperate with the lack of success this season, currently on a three-game losing streak.

“The quarterback we’re expecting to play, Locker, can make all the throws but has the added element of the scramble – something we have to be been mindful of,” said Browns head coach Mike Pettine, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Pettine said there is no difference between the offense under Whitehurst or Locker.

“I don’t think their offense was that different when (Locker) wasn’t in there,” Pettine said. “I think the run game was the same. A lot of the pass concepts were the same. It wouldn’t be a radical departure for us, but just given the fact that he practiced late last week and they were confident that he was going to practice today, barring a setback, I’m fairly certain that he’ll be ready to go.”
