Peavy did not allow a run in 5.2 innings and helped the Giants take a 3-0 lead into the seventh inning.
That’s when Bryce Harper took Hunter Strickland deep on a massive home run that regained some of the momentum.
Then, Asdrubal Cabrera sent the Washington crowd into a frenzy by knocking one out of the park and cutting the lead to 3-2.
