Could the Brooklyn Nets become the Brooklyn Dodgers?
The idea of the Dodgers being back in Brooklyn is simply mind boggling. It seems impossible and unrealistic to think about, but the opportunity is now here for the Dodgers to be back in the borough of Brooklyn.

NetsDaily first reported the news that Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov has had discussions with Guggenheim and the Los Angeles Dodgers owners to potentially have a “combination of assets.” This means that Prokhorov would still be in control of the Brooklyn Nets, but a partnership between the two parties would be present.
If a deal were to take place, this would basically combine the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Brooklyn Nets ownership and allow for the opportunity for the Brooklyn Nets to change their name back to the Brooklyn Dodgers.
It seems like a delusional idea, but the possibility would be available if a deal comes to fruition. The Dodgers are still loved in Brooklyn and bringing them back would be sure to ignite the County of Kings. The Brooklyn Nets have alternate uniforms already to pay tribute to the Dodgers, so the Dodgers are not forgotten in Brooklyn by any stretch of the imagination.
Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News told Nets’ point guard Deron Williams of the reports and Williams responded “I like Magic Johnson.” Magic Johnson is apart of the group that would join Prokhorov as part owners of the Brooklyn Nets and if your franchise player is for it you know Prokhorov will try and get it done.
