With the best pitcher in baseball, Clayton Kershaw, on the hill for the Dodgers, victory seemed inevitable.
However, the Cardinals got a run off of Kershaw in the sixth to cut the lead to 6-2. Then, in the seventh they absolutely blasted Kershaw. Kershaw was pulled and Pedro Baez entered the game. With a 7-6 lead, Matt Holliday stepped up to the plate and smashed a 3-run home run off of Baez to give the Cardinals a 10-6 lead.
