The San Francisco Giants have become accustom to playing exceptional in the postseason and they continued their winning ways in Friday’s game 1 victory over the Washington Nationals.

The Giants beat the Nationals 3-2 behind a great outing by Jake Peavy. The Giants held off a Nationals’ rally which was led by Bryce Harper, who hit a monstrous 445 foot home run in the 7th inning.
Nine straight postseason wins is as impressive as a statistic can get for a team. The Giants’ mantra has always been find a way to make the playoffs and once they are in the postseason, they know they are capable of taking care of business. The Giants will look to build off of that historic streak as they continue their series against the favored Washington Nationals.
There was question to whether or not the Giants would even make the playoffs this year. It wasn’t easy, but the Giants found a way to get the second wild card spot, beat the Pirates in the wild card game and now they feel they can beat anybody that’s put in front of them this postseason.
