Johnny Manziel has spent the first month of his NFL career on the bench, so we shouldn’t be surprised that he misses the college life and stardom.
The Cleveland Browns selected Johnny Manziel in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, but Brian Hoyer has been doing a solid job throughout the first quarter of the season and has been able to hang on to the job.

While Manziel has been on the bench, he has been able to do some reflecting on his decision to forego his final years of college eligibility in order to declare for the draft.
Manziel discussed that briefly with Cleveland.com and he was open about missing the college life.
“I don’t think I miss school,” said Manziel. “But I miss those guys in the locker room. I miss Coach Sumlin. I think it’s fair for me to say that I miss college life, but this is the decision that I made. And I knew very well going into the draft last year that it was going to be different for me and going to be a time for me to grow up. That’s the path I chose. And if I wanted to stay in college and sleep in and go to class and horse around like I was doing the past couple years, then I should have stayed.”
When you are the biggest star in your university, getting kicked out of frat parties and drunkenly lounging on inflatable swans, life is pretty good. It’s at least a much more glamorous life than that of a backup quarterback.
