Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott has been compared to former Florida Gators Heisman-winning quarterback, Tim Tebow, for the better part of the last year and there are a lot of similarities.

Both are dual-threat quarterbacks capable of rushing for 100 yards on any given day and have a rugged and powerful running style. Both are coached by Dan Mullen who was Tebow’s offensive coordinator with the Gators before he was named the Bulldogs head coach six years ago and both are excellent leaders who wear the No. 15.
But don’t compare the two when it comes to throwing the ball according to one NFL general manager who told NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport that Prescott is just like Tebow, but he can actually throw.
Excited to see Miss St’s Dak Prescott vs Texas A&M. GM told me: “He’s just like Tim Tebow, but he can actually throw. Interesting prospect.”

As great as Tebow was in college, his elongated delivery and lack of accuracy resulted in him only lasting three years in the NFL before embarking on a career with the SEC Network where he spent a lot of time with Prescott this week with SEC Nation broadcasting from Starkville, Mississippi.
Prescott still has a long way to go before he becomes a first round pick like Tebow, but he could join him as a Heisman winner if he can continue to lead the Bulldogs to impressive wins in the SEC.
The junior quarterback accounted for five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ win over No. 6 Texas A&M as Mississippi State has wins over top-10 opponents in back-to-back weeks for the first time in program history after defeating the LSU Tigers last week.
