With Clemson playing North Carolina State on Saturday, Beasley put himself in the record books and improved his draft stock in the process.
Beasley tied Michael Dean Perry’s sack record when he sacked Jacoby Brissett and in a tremendous individual effort stripped the ball from the quarterback and recovered the ball in one fell swoop and raced 16 yards to the end zone for the touchdown.
That’s how you enter the record books in style.
Here’s another look.
Beasley was an All-American defensive end last year and has been on a tear the last three games as he looks like he will be a consensus All-American in 2014 for the Tigers who dominated the Wolfpack one week after Brissett and NC State were a few plays shy of the upset against the Florida State Seminoles.
