An ESPN anchor proclaimed Florida State’s 43-3 victory over Wake Forest went “down to the wire.”
After getting off to a slow start (they led 13-3 at the half), the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles got it together (which meant avoiding turnovers) in the second half and earned a 43-3 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Even Florida State would admit they got off to a shaky start and could play better but they fought through injuries and still covered the 39-point spread while rolling up 476 total yards and allowing only 126 to Wake Forest.
ESPN anchor Cassidy Hubbarth must not have seen the same game.
Said Hubbarth: “The Seminoles struggle and take Wake Forest down to the wire, but will it matter?”
