Jacksonville Jaguars mascot performs double backflip off stadium (Video)

While we’ve seen many NBA mascots perform gymnastic routines the same can’t be said for most NFL mascots who often do little else but stand around and pose for photos. The same can’t be said for Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville however.

Known to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie, Jaxson de Ville has a bit of a wild side to him and the mascot showed such off on Sunday morning. How, you ask? No, he didn’t decide to take the field during warm ups and involve himself. No, he didn’t decide to stand on top of the stadium and wave a flag. Instead Jaxson de Ville decided to do a double backflip off a construction crane.
In full costume, the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot perched his way atop the crane (looks more like a stadium light fixture) and with feet on the edge, jumped backwards while flipping twice before eventually dangling to a stop.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Jaxson de Ville has jumped off something extremely high as he did so with the Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders and also jumped off a stadium tower back in 2007.
Needless to say, whomever in that costume has some good sized nuggets as jumping off something that elevated is crazy enough. Doing it while in full mascot costume? Insane. Doing it while in full costume with a rope ready to swirl around yourself as you backflip twice? Guess that’s one job I won’t ever be signing up for.
