Jake Locker takes forearm shot to face on quarterback slide (GIF)
By Josh Hill
The Tennessee Titans are trying to see if Jake Locker is their man at quarterback, but taking shots like he did against the Browns won’t help his health.
Jake Locker may be playing on borrowed time in Tennesee, but that doesn’t mean his teammates don’t have his back while he’s in the game. There’s nothing saying Locker can’t win the job over the long term in Tennessee but he’s not playing his way into that position.

What would kill Lockers’ chances of winning the job over the long term would be an injury and he took a shot in the endzone against the Browns. He wasn’t taken out of the game, but it was the kind of hit that results in concussions more often than not.
On the play, Locker went to slide, but was drilled in the face and head on his way down.
A close up look at the hit shows that Locker took a shot to the head and face on his way down to the ground.
