Charlie Whitehurst has replaced an injured Jake Locker

More from Cleveland Browns

The Tennessee Titans have not seen consistency from quarterback Jake Locker throughout his career, and he is once again on the sidelines due to an injury. Charlie Whitehurst is their primary backup, and he has replaced Locker against the Cleveland Browns this afternoon. This is tough news for the Titans, and it might be time to consider moving on from the often injured Locker this coming offseason.

At this point in time, it looks like the injury has something to do with his arm, shoulder, or possibly hand. No matter what the issue is, this is extremely concerning for the Titans moving forward.

Locker was selected with the eighth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, and he simply hasn’t come close to living up to his full potential. The Titans are desperately needing him to stay on the field and lead the way, but it has become obvious that they can’t count on him from season to season. Expect to hear more information on this injury at some point in the near future. Hopefully it isn’t a serious injury, but with Locker it is always a concern.
