The New York Jets were handed an absolute beat down by the San Diego Chargers on Sunday. Second-year quarterback Geno Smith went 4-of-12 for 27 yards and an interception in the first half before being benched in favor of Michael Vick.
Vick didn’t fare much better, and finished the game with 8-of-19 passing for 47 yards, but his 49.7 passer rating was better than Smith’s 7.6.
Don’t expect any controversy throughout the week though, Jets head coach Rex Ryan said Smith would be back under center for their next game against the Denver Broncos.
