After struggling to take down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New Orleans Saints have dogged another bullet as All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham’s shoulder injury (which kept him out half of today’s game) isn’t believed to be serious, as Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reports.

From ProFootballTalk:

"Saints tight end Jimmy Graham exited Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers with a shoulder injury. As the Saints enter the bye week, it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to return to action when the Saints face the Lions on October 19.Per a league source, Graham has a sprained shoulder that currently isn’t believed to be serious."

Prior to todays matchup with Tampa Bay, Graham was responsible for 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.

With Drew Brees struggling to start the season, having Graham available in the offense could make a world of difference. All of the Saints issue aren’t offense-related, but Brees isn’t doing the rest of the team any favors by being unlike his elite self and if Graham isn’t available to free up the rest of the field, it’s hard seeing the Saints offense righting the ship anytime soon.

Luckily the Saints are entering a bye week, giving Graham an extra week to get back in tip-top condition.
