Peyton Manning threw his 500th career touchdown on Sunday. He’s now just eight behind the all-time leader, Brett Favre.

Denver Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning hit another a milestone on Sunday.

More from Denver Broncos

On the Broncos’ first possession of their match up with the Arizona Cardinals, Peyton Manning drove the Broncos 80 yards on 12 plays, finding tight end Julius Thomas for a seven-yard touchdown pass, the 500th of his career.

Peyton Manning becomes just the second player in NFL history to throw 500 touchdowns and provided he stays healthy, he should break former Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback Brett Favre’s record of 508 in the next few weeks.

On the drive, Peyton Manning went seven-of-10 for 75 yards. Peyton Manning is also a threat to break Brett Favre’s yardage record as well – he is now within 6,000 yards of Brett Favre’s career mark of 71,838.
