Austin Davis hooks up with Brian Quick for Rams score

After probably the weirdest rollout in the history of the NFL, Rams quarterback Austin Davis was able to find receiver Brian Quick on technically an 8-yard pass, but it was thrown from the 25-yard line, so we’ll give Davis a little more credit. This made the score 7-13 against the explosive Philadelphia Eagles.

Austin Davis came into the year third on the St. Louis Rams depth chart, but after Sam Bradford had a season-ending knee surgery just before the season began and Shaun Hill suffered an injury in week one, Davis has been the starter since. Davis led the Rams to a 19-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week two and came up just short against the Dallas Cowboys in week three 34-31.

Now, coming out of the bye week, Davis is coming up throwing more TDs to his favorite wide receiver, Brian Quick.

In week two’s victory against the Bucs, Davis found Quick seven times for 74 yards and in week three, found Quick for 62 yards and a touchdown. The pattern seems to be repeating as Davis has found Quick for the first touchdown for the Rams in week five against the Eagles.

St. Louis will look to even up their record at 2-2 while the Eagles look to extend their good play to a 4-1 record.
