The Washington Redskins are hoping to have quarterback Robert Griffin III return to the field before their Oct. 27 matchup against the division rival Dallas Cowboys.
When Robert Griffin III went down with a dislocated ankle, the Washington Redskins and their fan base shad high hopes for backup Kirk Cousins. Cousins impressed in his first action with the team, but greatly struggled last week against the New York Giants in Week 4.

That quickly led to everyone in the organization anxiously awaiting Griffin’s return to the field which could come before the end of the month.
Before Week 5’s busy Sunday schedule kicked off, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the Redskins are hoping to see Robert Griffin III return to the field in three weeks.
That would get Griffin back under center for the team’s Week 8 Monday Night Football matchup against the division rival Dallas Cowboys.

Griffin returned to the practice field this weekend without a walking boot, but he was only able to take part in the team’s stretches.
