Gone is the famed hawk with its wings spread clutching a basketball, replaced by the ‘Pac-Man’ logo the team used in the 80’s and 90’s. Even better? The team apparently decided to replace the seats at Phillips Arena as they’re now completely black.
Combined with the new center court logo and the seats, the arena looks pretty bad ass.

You’ll see there aren’t too many significant changes outside of the center court logo as the team kept their script along the baselines, though it almost appears to be black in color as opposed to a darker navy which we’ve seen in the past.
The logo previously used by the Atlanta Hawks was always thought to be one of the better in the NBA though did have a bit of a cartoon-ish feel as opposed to the ‘Pac-Man’ logo which the team will be using this season.
Overall the new changes really seemed to give Philips Arena a brand new look and the team should really enjoy playing in the refurbished digs this season.
